Community and support
Peer circles of 8 to 10, mentoring, a member forum, and a cover roster for holidays and sick leave.
Queensland · Sole practitioners in accounting and finance
SOLO Together is a members' association for Queensland's sole accountants, tax and BAS agents, bookkeepers, financial advisers and mortgage brokers. You keep your own practice, brand and clients. We give you the backing of a whole firm.
How the network works
Support only works between people who know and trust each other. That's why SOLO Together is not a list of strangers. It brings members together through regular, real contact.
Regular catch-ups, small peer circles and BAS-deadline coffees, so you meet the people behind the practices near you.
Share templates, talk through tricky files and see how others work. Trust grows from small things done well.
Every member brings different strengths, such as SMSF, property, small business or a second language. We recognise them and refer to them.
When someone is ill, on leave or snowed under, a colleague they already know and trust steps in, under our Relief and Backup Code.
Practice backup · Free · Your choice
It is every sole practitioner's biggest worry. Register once and choose who backs you up:
A vetted colleague nearby in the same discipline. You back each other up, practitioner to practitioner.
A bigger practice with depth of staff, for more capacity behind your clients. Matched subject to availability.
Either way, your backup signs our strict Relief and Backup Code: no poaching for 36 months, with legal consequences, and everything handed back.
What members get
Professional bodies set the standards. SOLO Together helps members run and grow their practices together.
Peer circles of 8 to 10, mentoring, a member forum, and a cover roster for holidays and sick leave.
Monthly technical briefings, CPD hours, a second-opinion helpline and shared templates for TPB, AML/CTF and privacy compliance.
A vetted directory that connects tax agents with bookkeepers, advisers and brokers, with clear consent and disclosure rules.
Negotiated deals on PI insurance, practice software and payment tools, priced for a group instead of one buyer.
Who it's for
TPB Code reforms and AML/CTF Tranche 2, carried alone.
Compliance is lighter when it's shared.
Low fees, isolation, and clients who need more than books.
Be the bookkeeper with a whole firm behind you.
Getting qualified introductions without conflicted arrangements.
Trusted introductions, done properly.
Lead costs, and waiting on an accountant to confirm income.
Work alongside accountants who already know the client.
Distance, and no one to cover leave.
Your firm doesn't stop at the Range.
Two-minute self-check
Ten quick questions on AML/CTF, the TPB Code, privacy and cover. You get a score and a list of gaps to work on.
How referrals work
The association takes no cut. Every referral follows the member's own professional rules.
A member posts a de-identified client need on the referral board, or picks a specialist from the directory.
The client gives written consent before any personal information is shared.
The receiving member engages the client under their own engagement letter, registration and PI cover.
Any referral fee is disclosed to the client in writing and meets that member's own regime.
Results are recorded so each member's annual value report can count referral dollars.
Practice Exchange · Confidential
Register confidentially and we will introduce you to members who are a good fit. No commission.
One person, one town
Each month we will feature one member and the town they serve, from Toowong to Townsville. Real people and real places, never stock photos.
Your town here
We are looking for founding members to feature in our first stories. If you'd like to share yours, get in touch.
Founding Circle · 20 places
Until 2032 every member's contribution is voluntary. The first 20 members also take a seat on the founding advisory group and help decide how SOLO Together works.
